DMCA & Content Removal Policy

Last Updated: June 13, 2026

SnapNinja respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. This policy explains how copyright owners can request removal of content, how users can respond, and how we handle other content removal requests. It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), and to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

1. What SnapNinja Is — and Where Content Appears

SnapNinja is a neutral, user-directed tool. It does not select, curate, publish, or promote content. Content appears in connection with the Service in two ways:

  • Free public tools: Pages on this site that display publicly available Snapchat content — public stories, Spotlight posts, and public profile information — as published by Snapchat's own public web platform. We do not host this content permanently; it is retrieved from public sources at the time of viewing.
  • Private user galleries: Media that an individual user has directed the Service to save from their own Snapchat account. Galleries are private to each user, are not published, and are not visible to other users or the public.

If your copyrighted work appears in either context without authorization, you may request its removal as described below.

2. Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act on the owner's behalf) and believe content available through the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent:

  • Email: dmca@snapninja.app
  • Subject line: DMCA Takedown Request

Your notice must include all of the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, for multiple works, a representative list);
  2. Identification of the material you claim is infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it — for the free public tools, the full URL of the page on snapninja.app and the Snapchat username involved;
  3. Your contact information: full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  5. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices may not be actionable. We will respond to valid notices promptly — typically within 3 business days — by removing or disabling access to the identified material and, where applicable, notifying the affected user.

Warning: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

3. Counter-Notification

If material you posted or saved was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to dmca@snapninja.app including:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  3. Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which SnapNinja may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent;
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. Unless the complainant notifies us within 10–14 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement, we may restore the removed material.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

We maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also, at our discretion, limit access to the Service for any user who infringes the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is repeat infringement.

5. Other Removal Requests

Not every concern is a copyright claim. We also accept:

  • Public profile delisting: If you are a Snapchat creator and would like your public profile or stories excluded from SnapNinja's free public tools, email dmca@snapninja.app with the subject "Profile Removal Request", your Snapchat username, and proof of account ownership (for example, a message sent from the account or a verifiable official contact). We will honor verified delisting requests.
  • Privacy-based removal: If you believe intimate or private content depicting you is being saved or has been shared in violation of your privacy, contact us at support@snapninja.app. We treat these reports with urgency and may remove content and terminate accounts under our Terms of Service, independent of any copyright analysis.

6. Modifications

We may revise this policy at any time by posting the updated version on this page. The version posted here applies to all requests received after it is posted.
