    • Note: We do not store or collect your credit card details. All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor.

If you purchase credits, a license, or have a legacy subscription, we collect and store:

  • Account Status: Whether you have an active subscription, lifetime license, purchased save credits, or are using the free tier.

  • Billing History: Records of payments made, including dates and amounts (but not payment card details).

  • Credit Balance: The number of save credits remaining on your account, and purchase history for credit packs.

This information is necessary to manage your account, process payments, and provide customer support.

C. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we may collect standard usage data, including:

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address.

  • Cookies: We may use essential cookies to manage your session during the checkout process.

  • Usage Analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymized usage data to improve our Service. This may include feature usage, session duration, and general interaction patterns.

D. Data Processed by the Desktop Application

Crucial Privacy Distinction:

The Snap Saver desktop application is a local utility.

  • Image Processing: All image interception, decryption, and saving occur locally on your device's hard drive (~/Downloads/SnapNinja/).

  • No Media Uploads: We do not transmit, view, store, or have access to any images, videos, or Snapchat login credentials you use within the application.

  • Snapchat Data: We do not collect or store your Snapchat username, password, or authentication tokens. These remain within the local instance of the Google Chrome browser you control.

  • Save Counts: The desktop application communicates with our servers to track how many snaps you have saved (for free tier limits and analytics), but we never transmit or access the actual media content.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:

  1. License & Account Management: To deliver your software access, manage your license or credit balance, process payments, and handle account changes.

  2. Customer Support: To verify your purchase or account status if you request assistance.

  3. Service Communications: To notify you of critical bug fixes, security patches, payment issues, or service discontinuation.

  4. Service Improvement: To understand how users interact with our Service and improve the user experience.

    We use PostHog for product analytics to understand usage patterns and improve our Service. PostHog may collect anonymized usage data.

We retain your Personal Data (email, account status, and billing history) only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Specifically:

  • Active Users: Data is retained while your account is active or you have a valid license, credits, or subscription.

  • Inactive Accounts: Billing and purchase history is retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes. Account data may be deleted upon request.

  • Legal Requirements: We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
